Sief - Summit ride

Spiz de le Seleghe / Sief 2424 m - ottobre 2015

In the Dolomites there are few summits that offer the possibility to ride from the top to the feet of the mountain without changes in the difficulty, steeper sections, harder tracts, ... One of them is Sief Mountain (named also as "Spiz de le Seleghe"), theatre of hard battles during the First World War.
Nelle Dolomiti ci sono poche cime che offrono la possibilità di scendere in sella da cima al piede , senza cambiamenti nella difficoltà, tratti più ripidi, tratti più duri, ... Una di esse è il Sief (o Spiz de le Seleghe), teatro di aspre battaglie durante la prima guerra mondiale.

The ascent require to pedal on steep forestry streets, to push the bike on steeper meadows and finally then to carry the bike along the north ridge, walking near the zigzag trench.
La salita richiede di pedalare su ripide strade forestali, di spingere la bici sui prati ancor più ripidi ed infine di portare la bicicletta lungo la cresta nord, camminando vicino la trincea a zigzag.

The descent start from the cross and it present some difficulties, as big rolling stones, close turns, steepness, ... in the lower part there is grass and a difficult to see the trail, but there aren't sections with steps, rockgarten, ... After all the trail is all but flow.
La discesa inizia dalla croce e presenta alcune difficoltà, come grosse pietre rotolanti, curve strette pendenza, ... nella parte inferiore c'è erba ed un difficile vedere il sentiero, ma non ci sono sezioni con gradini, rockgarten ... Nonostrante tutto il percorso, non è definibile come flow, ma quasi.
